**Position Overview**
As aMaterial Handler, you will be responsible for supporting the operation. The Material Handler’s primary role is to accurately receive and ship materials such as parts, oils, hazmat, and other items daily. Your role is to support the staff with a sense of urgency while carefully handling sensitive items such as aircraft parts and hazardous materials.
**Essential Job Functions**
+ Frequently handle aircraft parts.
+ Pick, pull, and pack aircraft parts.
+ Prepare items for shipping and receiving.
+ Support maintenance technician need for parts, hazmat, and other materials.
+ Communicate effectively with leads, managers, and other staff.
+ Complete cycle counts and periodic inventory checks when needed.
+ Safely operate an electric stand up forklift and heavy-duty forklift.
+ Load and unload shipments when needed.
+ Ability to learn the current ERP system, Microsoft Office applications, and any other necessary software.
+ Perform other work as instructed by the Stores Supervisor.
**Requirements**
+ Ability to learn documentation for aircraft parts.
+ Ability to learn and use an ERP effectively.
+ Ability to use hand trucks, handheld tape dispensers, and utility knives.
+ Ability to use steel or polypropylene strapping kits or similar.
+ Ability to use tensioners and crimpers for strapping crates.
+ Perform inventory audits or cycle counts.
+ Problem-solving skills.
+ Operate printers and scanners.
+ Support other STORES personnel.
+ Approaches work with a “can-do” attitude.
+ Attention to detail and multitasking skills.

+ Ability to get along with others and lead by example.
+ Ability to remain calm and professional.
+ Ability to work safely and responsibly.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to lift over 50 pounds frequently.
+ Ability to stand and sit for long periods during a shift.
+ Ability to climb, kneel, and crawl when needed.
+ Ability to hear, listen, and talk.
+ Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures.
