Pay: $13.82 - $23.04/hr

Location/Division Specific Information:

As part of the BioServices team, the Vacaville, CA site focuses on the receipts, inventory storage, withdrawal and shipment of biological specimens, samples, clinical agents, and materials fro multiple commercial and government clients.

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The Material Handler I supports operations by storing and shipping materials at temperatures ranging from ambient (room temperature) to -196 degrees C with potentially hazardous properties.

A Day in the Life:Receive incoming raw materialsFacilitate movement of materials, including hazardous materials, across the siteMaintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle countsEducation:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:Required: No previous work experience requiredPreferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related fieldPreferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)Preferred: cGMP ExperienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Able to work independently and set prioritiesEffective interpersonal and communication skillsAble to work as part of a teamAble to work with methods to handle, process and store specimens using a computerized storage and retrieval systemAssures compliance to cGMP parts 210 and 211 and company quality systems.Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs), facility safety guidelines, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) requirements which may include compliance with cGMP CFR parts 210 and 211 where applicable.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentAble to work in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, and marked changes in temperatureMust use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocolsAble to lift and carry 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbsPeriodically work in walk-in freezers and refrigerators for up to 5 hours per dayWhat We Offer

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $12.56–$23.04.
