TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. They lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Material Handlers prepare and maintain records of shipments, post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. They examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for quality, quantity, and accuracy based on production order picklist Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors for raw materials Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Managing inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of raw materials inventory in the shopfloor. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, resin mixer, hand trucks or dollies, to move stock or reorganize storage areas. Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels. Ensure daily collection of material consumption data and recording. Assist with inventory control and audits as needed. Ensure on-time availability of production materials (resins, chemicals, contacts, consumable, etc.) based on production order picklist Ensure by-product scrap data recording and disposal Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance Observe 5’s and Safety regulations and requirements of the company Perform other duties as assigned by management. What your background should look like: An associate degree is preferred At least 1+ years experience in material system transactions. With knowledge of the production process preferably from the stamping company Have a background in using SAP system/ MRP or another system for the transaction of material, WIP, and Finished goods With good communication skills and manners Adaptable to changes in process and workload Analytical and computer-literate Can work efficiently as an individual and as a team member.
