Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is supporting FBS Operations through the distribution of orders and receipt of material to maintain service level for our clients. This position focuses on the storage and management of biological samples for research purposes.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Pulling material from internal software systems with accuracyPicking and packing client ordersBooking courier transportCompleting GMP paperwork with accuracy and in a timely mannerReceiving deliveries of biological samples into required storage unit and recording on relevant software systemReconcile and maintain inventory against client documentation and internal softwareCompleting disposal of material as requiredFollow Standard Operating ProceduresFollow requirements for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) complianceSupports and maintains compliance to all regulatory agencies, this includes but is not limited to; MHRA (GMP), HTA, HFEA and ISO 9001-2008 accreditation.Under supervision, ensure all job related / GPM paperwork is accurate, error-free, and completed in real time as per SOPsExhibits appropriate behaviour, language and appearance at all times on the job or at company eventsPerforming client-specific tasks as required, including responding to client emailsThis position functions in a repository environment, which may include working with dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, as well as marked changes in temperature

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

GCSE level or equivalentIT literate – preferably Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communicationsAbility to read, interpret and follow SOPsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume.Builds good working relationships with others.Able to work under pressure and support others within the teamExperience working in a GMP (GxP) environment (desirable)Frequently required to type, sit, stand, walk, lift/carry up to 25kg.Employment is subject to 10 year screening for criminal records, qualifications, previous employment and credit history – Thermo Fisher Scientific have the right not to employ people failing to meet the standards required
