Summary of the Position:

The Material Handler III obtains product to be processed. Brings packing materials to the product line and removes unused materials. Scans items into work order and scans finished products into the QAD system. The Material Handler III drives stand-up and/or sit-down forklift and completes all work order reporting, as needed.

Functions of the Position:

Drives stand-up and/or sit-down forklift to move product from staging line to production line.Makes pallet ID labels. Completes work order reporting, as needed.Completes daily check of PIT equipment to maintain safety.Responsible for the accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment.Assists other material handlers/scanners as needed.Assists machine operators and supervisors as needed.Maintains clean work area.

Continually:

Responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.

Job Specific Requirements:

This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.

In the event that the Material Handler III is absent, the department manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
