Position Summary: 

Provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction by ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, free of damage and processed in a timely manner.

Essential Functions of this Role:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Operate and instruct others in the operation of material moving equipment, stand up forklift, sit down forklift, order picker and related vehicles inside the warehouseDetermine sequence for loading and unloading shipments for maximum space utilization, safety and damage protectionInspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily.Perform computer lookup/inquiries to determine product location and/or descriptionResponsible for receiving, stocking of all inbound shipments; unload and load materials onto or from shipping containers, pallets, racks and shelvesMaintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of items received, and counting of physical inventoryIdentify obvious damage to equipment and materials through visual inspectionStock, arrange, and rotate warehouse items in accordance with standard operating procedures and/or guidance from supervisorStage material in proper location for shipmentAttention to detail and ability to follow directions to meet deadlinesFollows all safety and security proceduresMeet or exceed accuracy and productivity expectationsAssist in other departments of the warehouse as necessaryCoach and mentor new or temporary warehouse workers in job functionsExamine shipping and receiving load content against records to ensure accuracy.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variationsDue to forklifts and other equipment traveling through the warehouse the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit gas fumes and create excessive vibrations

Physical Demands:

Must be able to move around in a large, fast-paced warehouse for 8 or more hoursRequires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 75lbs frequentlyProlonged periods of standing and walking on concrete surfacesRequires bending, squatting, climbing and reachingRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsTeam lift - carry, push or pull up to 100lbs frequently

Expected Hours of Work:

Must be available during standard operating hours, Monday thru FridayStart and end times may vary due to operational needRemain flexible with working schedules is required, to include working overtime, evenings, and weekends as there may be an occasional adjustment to meet the business needs

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Must be at least 18 years of age1 to 2 years of related experience and/or educationForklift certification or able to successfully certification of forklift operation, training provided on-siteMust be a quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challengesPositive attitude - work as part of a team and/or independentlyEstablish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with people in different functionsActive listening skillsBasic math, reading and voice comprehension is a mustAbility to read packs, order labels, other information and match to visible items and other dataMaintain regular attendanceAbility and disposition to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Reliable transportationPrevious knowledge of replenishment and RF equipment a plusPrevious receiving experience preferredBasic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification, warehouse procedures and storage areas to pull stock and materials

Pay Range:

$16.49 - $22.26

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
