As a Material Handler I, you will be responsible for material receiving, stocking, inventory transfers, and ensuring inventory accuracy. Additionally, you will handle unloading inbound shipments and loading outbound shipments while confirming accuracy, as well as moving materials and molds from the warehouse to the production floor. The Material Handler I is expected to be proactive, capable of performing tasks at a high level with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities Responsible for following all safety activity in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and Procedures.Locate, verify, and supply production with materials needed for day.Receive, verify, and document incoming raw material for quantity and ID accuracy.Responsible for racking raw materials into warehouse locations and scanning all material transfers into the system.Responsible for staging and shipping finished goods.Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehouse.Perform inventory counts for Cycle Count ProgramPerform warehouse rack audits on as needed basis.Ability to carry up to 35lbs by hand.Participates in process improvement activities. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1+ years of experience using forklift (stand-up/sit-down)Proven track record with attendance and reliable transportationExcellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and work within deadlines

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in software programs such as Word and ExcelExperience in Barcode scanner system use and implementation.People Soft.Experience in warehousing and/or material planning operations.Knowledge of inventory management systems.
