Summary: The Production Material Handler will support manufacturing by safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move material and complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.

Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be assigned and required.

Safely operate forklift to load and unload trailers and to move material as neededEnsure equipment is in safe, working order by completing daily inspection following checklist guidelines. Immediately reports concerns with equipmentComplete preventative maintenance on equipment as requiredComplete documentation as necessary to support correct inventory levelsVerify product prior to shipment to ensure correct product and quantity is shippedReport all incidents/near misses to SupervisorFollow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa’s and Magna’s operating principlesSupport efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion SurveySupport plant safety initiatives and always works within safety guidelines

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to obtain forklift certification within first 30 daysAttention to detail a must to complete paperwork accuratelyAbility to multi-task continuously to manage line products
