About the role This position is responsible for supporting production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing materials and supplies, ticketing and transporting finished goods. Responsibilities • Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures • Supports a quality work environment by following quality policies and procedures (These are the first required bullet) • Performs and documents weigh counts for scrap materials, communicates issues or concerns with Production Lead • Removes trash from manufacturing areas • Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested • Operates material movement equipment, as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others and other equipment • Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts and moves empty containers to designated storage areas • Enters production on finished goods items • Verifies and maintains product identification and count • Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions • Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production and equipment maintenance • Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications • Must have the ability to successfully complete on-the-job training (OJT) requirements • Must possess the ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards • Must have the ability to earn motorized material handling equipment license • Basic computer skills required Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1-year experience operating motorized material handling equipment, preferred Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling Requires eye/hand/foot coordination Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
