Job DescriptionTitle: Material Handler, 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:30 pm to 3:00 a.m.
The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of both raw and finished materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
Operating mechanical forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock picker lift trucks.Operating and maintaining RF Scanner (handheld warehouse computer).Accurate and timely selecting of customers’ orders Accurately completing work order sheets. Working on both the Receiving and Shipping docks as needed. Unload trucks and validate deliveries against appropriate documentation, and notify supervisor or FSQ of discrepancies.Unload meat trucks and complete weighing and temperature review of each pallet and documenting each measurement. Notify Supervisor or Food Safety Quality (FSQ) of any discrepanciesEnsure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper storing and use.Distribute the items received to the person or department for which the item was ordered.Daily shipments must be picked, counts verified, pallets wrapped or stacked neatly for pick-ups, marked accordingly to customer, transportation and location of shipment.Load finished goods onto trailer within specified timeframe.Maintain an accurate inventory of finished products and supplies in the warehouse.Safety Operate a Forklift, Pallet Jack, and/or Strait TruckOperate Yard Spotter Truck (training provided)Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).Cleaning and maintaining warehouse floor and facilities as needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all timesQualificationsRequired Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Preferred:
1-3 Months related manufacturing or food experience, preferred.Knowledge of warehouse and lift trucks experience.Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or Manufacturing.Basic computer, email experience .Knowledge of SAP, preferredREQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES:

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards.
