Your Impact\:
DOE Savannah River Site (SRS) processes and stores nuclear materials in support of national defense and U.S. nuclear nonproliferation efforts. The site also develops and deploys technologies to improve the environment and treat solid and liquid nuclear and hazardous waste left from the Cold War. While current missions remain the highest priority, SRS leadership places great importance on developing broader missions for SRS that use its unique capabilities to address critical national missions. The Operation and Maintenance operator is Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), as a Subcontractor to SRNS, Jacobs Technology Inc. (JTI) provides telecommunications system operation and maintenance services as well as site operator services at SRS. This position supports a Jacobs Technology Inc. operation and maintenance program managing the voice and data services at the Savannah River site
Responsibilities\:
Input purchase requisitions in Costpoint and in file manager. Input materials consumed by technicians tracking sheet. Perform inventory/asset management functions that include stocking shelves with IT and telecommunications equipment and components, receive items as they are delivered, compare items received to purchase order requests, label boxes and parts, stage and store equipment and spare parts, adjust inventory quantities as needed and document all actions in appropriate database management systems. Complete quarterly physical inventories of warehouse assets. Interface with vendors for shipment status, tracking and updating shipping dates in database. Assist in loading and unloading equipment/material from delivery trucks. Deployment of equipment for technicians to satisfy work order delivery schedules. Obtain serial numbers and label items/equipment as appropriate or more or specific components that go into a rack, with an Equipment Location Identifier (ELI). Receiving paperwork from the customer’s Asset Management group and label number; enter the inventory database and track all assets purchased. Manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventory following acquirement, transfer and continually track with the designated owner. Answer inquiries about equipment availability. Clean, repair, restock, forecast, asset marking and tagging. Excess equipment following the customer’s guidelines. Identify defective equipment, remove all labels, put them in boxes and track them in computer.
