Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Materials Planning Manager in La Crosse, WI. The Materials Planning Manager leads a team of Material Planners, with the responsibility of planning and scheduling the delivery of material from suppliers. This team is responsible for monitoring the flows of buy items, guarantee availability of components in order to avoid material shortages and production downtime, as well as to manage inventory levels to meet our customer service and inventory targets.
Location: Position is remote, however would require frequent travel to the La Crosse and Atlanta among other travel as needed.
Travel 10-20% - this will vary on business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages material planning activity to ensure timely delivery of material to support service level requirements.Serve as an escalation point with Material Planners when Planners are not able to resolve issues effectively.Ensure that the Planning Team is trained and effectively utilizing ERP tools and company standard work.Act as Lean Champion for Materials Planning functions.Ensures optimization of all materials management activities including forecasting, planning, inventory control, returns, and inventory balancing.Measure, analyze and use root cause problem solving to track and drive key metrics such as Availability, Inventory Turns and Inventory Quality. Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes.Collaborate and maintain communication with cross functional teams to maximize effectiveness of inventory planning.Provide leadership in selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of materials functions and Trane Technologies operating goals and objectives.Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.Manage materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of a Lean Six-Sigma environment.Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance, within the retail process team, of the Materials and SIOP standard work playbook processes and systems.Organize activities & assigning jobs accordingly to the staff requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Managing material activity to ensure timely delivery of direct ship material.Managing material reconciliation activity to ensure timely processing of payables related to GRNIMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 5+ years’ experience with planner/buyer manufacturing experience or Associate degree/two years of college education and 7+ years of planner/buyer manufacturing experience2+ years’ managing people experienceExperience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processesExperience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.Computer proficient and experienced with visual management systems.Oracle R12 and Servigistics (or equivalent planning system) experience preferredThis is a Safety Sensitive Role

Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $88,000 - $105,000
