Hayward Holdings Inc. This position is based in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
As the Material Planning Specialist, you will work closely with Purchasing, Production Planning, Production Supervision, Quality and the Materials Organization to plan and coordinate receipt and inventory of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels.
Responsibilities· Ensuring timely orders/deliveries.
· Facilitating expedites/defers to support optimal inventory levels.
· PO maintenance including UoM, PPV, and dollar/quantity accuracies.
· Oversee activities with challenging vendors under buyer codes GL1 & GL6 (and JJ Technologies).
· Assist in vendor transfer. Example Mars to Clemmons
· Coordinate weekly shortage meeting.
· Processing/acting on MRP reports and other signal inputs to ensure adequate material supply.
· Taking an active part in new product development activities as it relates to procurement.
· Building and maintaining various reports pertaining to demand/BoM structure/shortages/etc.
· Facilitate material intake for business acquisitions.
· Monthly shortage data collection for Corporate SIOP.
· Weekly meeting with Manufacturing to coordinate materials to schedule needs.
· Maintaining inventory levels as set by management.
· Taking a lead role in physical inventory efforts and quarterly audits.
· Executing actions necessary in the disposition of non-conforming material.
· Replacement of conforming material and rework/scrap cost reimbursement.
· Collaborate with 3PLs on a regular basis.
· Analyze non-performing material to determine the most effective method of storage/handling.
· Promote warehouse optimization ideas.
· Disposition efforts with slow / obsolete inventory.
· SKU Rationalization
· Participating in Kaizens and other improvement opportunities.
· Guiding the Cycle Count program ensuring SOX compliance and inventory/reporting accuracy.
· Heavily engage warehouse management in material replenishments, pallet ordering, and day-to-day action/organization.
· Direct collaboration with Corporate Commodity/Finance to facilitate strategic actions at HRI.
· 5S implementation and planning in the warehouse.
· Weekly Warehouse meeting. Staffing /Procedures/Issues
Qualifications· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
· Experience with electronics manufacturing a plus
· Working knowledge of MRP systems.
· Occasional travel (5%) will be required to visit other Hayward plants, attend conferences and training courses throughout the year.
· Successful completion of Lean training by a qualified agency desired.
· Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in a related field
