Material & Plastics Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Material & Plastics Engineer to join our team in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. In this role you will play an important part in transitioning our extruded heating cables even greener than they are today by identifying and validating material combinations with less footprint. Your expertise will also be brought into play in our general product portfolio where you will play a pivotal part in securing REACH, RoHs compliance as well as a range of other areas in the intersection between performance, compliance and reporting.

You will become part of a local team, but have global interactions and will also contribute to other tasks as part of our dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities

At this position you will:

Support in the identification and evaluation of new materials for our extruded cable production. Act as a Go-To resource across the team on Material science topics, both within plastics as well as other materials. Offer expertise in extrusion processes, ensuring optimal material performance and manufacturing efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve design and production challenges. Support the agile team in other technical and engineering-related tasks as required. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality guidelines.

 

Background & Skills

Educational Background:

Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

Experience:

Experience with extrusion or injection molding. Familiarity with production of plastic parts at scale. Experience with linking materials, performance and environmental footprint will be a benefit.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of extrusion processes and their application in plastic component manufacturing. Ability to work in an agile and cross-functional team environment. Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to plastic component design and manufacturing. Good English allowing smooth spoken and written communication. Employee Benefits
