Hours: 7:30pm-4:00pm

Days: Monday to Friday

What is the job: As a Material Specialist, you will be responsible for unloading incoming raw materials, loading customer orders, monthly cycle counts, assists in managing consumables needs regularly, maintains transportation communication board, and responsible for some purchasing orders.

Essential Functions 

Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Has the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.   Responsible for unloading incoming raw materials.
- Verifying quantities to packing lists and receiving material into SAP Responsible for loading customer orders
- Assigning batch numbers and quantities to orders
- Must be familiar with established packaging standard
- Repacks materials if required
- Ensures the product gets on to the correct truck.
- Ensures driver signs all required paperwork. Must maintain a safe, clean and organized workstation including:
- Finished goods
- Raw material
- Packaging station/ Desk Participates in Monthly Cycle Counts
- Enters and verifies information. Assists in managing packaging and consumables need  regularly Works to establish and maintain a First in First out (FIFO) process for both incoming raw material as well as finished goods.   Shows strong ability to work independently, with a focus on time management.   Maintains Transportation communication board
- Incoming and outgoing shipments Shows understanding of SAP May be responsible for some purchasing. Participates in Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) meetings Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and frequently move more than 250 pounds.  Specific vision abilities may be require by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.  Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and explosives.  Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
