Description:PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS:
Analyzes backlog, potential and related inventories to order and expedite the delivery of purchased/fabricated parts, raw materials, nonproductive supplies, equipment, and assemblies to meet customer schedules and emergencies. Determines availability of items or an acceptable source of supply or substitution by analyzing blueprints and other technical data when required. Consults with Manufacturing, Engineering, Tooling, Quality Assurance, Planning, Procurement, etc. to recommend and obtain authorization to effect material changes or substitutions to alleviate all types of shortages and ensure the flow of materials through Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Investigates the cause of chronic shortages, delays, and similar critical problems in the manufacture of tools, parts and assemblies and initiates appropriate corrective action. Requests transportation or handling equipment to transport materials to and from shop areas. Loads, unloads, and moves materials as required, utilizing proper material handling procedures, and exercising a knowledge of Company facilities and location of parts, materials, equipment, and tools stored within stockrooms, stores and cribs; adjusts and maintains inventory balances as required and initiates return of unused parts.
Controls the release of fabrication orders to shop departments in sufficient quantity to maintain level load conditions, subject to limits imposed by amount and nature of work available, considering such factors as shop capacity and schedule requirements, and exercising a basic knowledge of the respective machine capacities, manpower requirements, operation sequences, and related commodities applicable to fabrication control. Investigates possible rework or temporary fabrication of purchased parts by initiating unplanned shop orders to work around material shortages.
Reviews and verifies quantities of materials for accuracy.
Prepares all required reports and forms and performs other related clerical duties.
Operates state-of-the-art and conventional office and warehouse equipment such as electric forklifts, tugs, and scooters.
Packs parts, assemblies, supplies and materials, properly identifies, and ships in accordance with Company, customer or government specifications and requirements.
Ability to obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training as required for assigned tasks as required by the Company or governmental agencies.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
**Must be able to work any shift and any work schedule**
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office and inventory control systems.
Experience in blueprint reading.
Experience with material handling.
Desired Skills:
Ability to prioritize multiple task.
SAP
Experience with procurement.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The base range for this position in California is $22.87 - $35.47.
