Material Specialist (Strider)

Additionally, in 2024 we were awarded the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, which recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world._ **Material** **Specialist (Strider)** **– AD Systems –** **Everett, WA** Allegion is seeking a **Material Specialist (Strider)** to fulfill a full-time position in **Everett, WA** at our **AD Systems** production facility. This role is responsible for verifying the correct materials and build documentation are supplied to the machining team to keep production flowing efficiently and on-time. **Schedule:** Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, with overtime on Fridays as needed. Applicants must be able to work this schedule to be considered. **What You Will Do:** + Using a cart on wheels, gather materials needed for the fabrication process according to the production build packet provided by production support; acquiring specific pieces fromweldingand other materials from the warehouse and then moved to the work cell. + Responsible for general area clean-up and any other duties, as assigned, to keep the technicians at their workstations; replenishing general supplies on the carts. + Assist or relieve any production position on a temporary basis when necessary. + Communicate with other departments to obtain supplies and materials. + Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for fabrication/assembly activities. + Understand and comply with all appropriate safety and work safety regulations. + Continuously maintain a clean work area including the cleanup and disposal of trash, productionscrap, and material drop-off. Assists in cleaning common areas. + Support inventory, picking, cycle counts, and other material distribution in the facility as needed. **What You Need to Succeed:** + 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing preferred + Forklift experience, forklift certification preferred + Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems + Ability to set rigging and operate lifts and small cranes as needed to perform work. + Provide high quality internal customer service. + Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitude + Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines + Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvement + Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments + Good verbal and written communication skills + Strong math skills + Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly **Working Environment** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the work day. Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences. + The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.17 - $30.24.
