JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work with suppliers, production, materials and inventory management to select materials for production schedule; ensure shipment of materials is in line with production schedules and inventory goals. Work with short and long lead time suppliers (domestic and overseas) to procure the appropriate materials for production. Assist in production scheduling process. Utilize industrial engineering and supply chain management concepts to schedule and minimize inventory. Assist in optimizing material flow internally, ensure accuracy of electronic data interchange (edi), freight spending, and reconciliation of the supplier receipts for accounts payable. Maintain material inventory levels. Change implementation during product launch. Work with information technology (it) teams and other functional departments to develop and implement enterprise management systems. Ensure mbom(manufacturing bill of materials) are structured accurately in the mms(material management systems). Identify best production scheduling practices and implement inventory control strategies; co-ordinate material imports; analyze transactions data and conduct root cause analysis. Assist in developing and monitoring kpis (key performance indicators). Use forecasting techniques to order material. Determine supply chain communication strategies; identify and process supplier claims and participates in conflict resolution; review and correct system errors. Utilize experience with application of mathematical modeling concepts for production scheduling. Automotive production systems, manufacturing practices and inventory management; forecasting techniques. Statistical root cause analysis; enterprise resource planning systems. Quality management systems. Supply chain concepts and scheduling. Six sigma concepts and projects implementation, and data analysis tools, including mini tab, MS excel and VBA macros.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have coursework or experience with: (1) Manf & Mech Syst Fundmntls; (2) Systems Simulation; (3) Six Sigma for Design and Manuf; (4) Designing Exp for Eng and Sci; and (5) Accounting for Decision Makers.

RATE OF PAY: $ 52,083.00 - $ 80,000.00 per year
