We are currently seeking a Materials Buyer who will be responsible for Value Stream Buying and multiple commodities. In this role, you will be responsible for: + Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use + Negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers + Drive ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement The required qualifications for the job include: + A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree with 2+ years of experience in a tactical or strategic procurement role, supporting manufacturing or project management, or a master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience or Doctorate degree + Demonstrates experience and results in negotiating with suppliers + Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments + Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, with the ability to learn new programs that are job specific. + Preferred - APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Both finished goods and manufacturing planning for instrument/accessory type products.
