We are currently seeking a Materials Buyer who will be responsible for Value Stream Buying and multiple commodities. The Materials Buyer will be responsible for preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use. They will work to negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and drive ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Materials & Planning and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Indianapolis and will be an on-site role. The essential requirements of the job are: + Bachelors’ degree with 2+ years of experience in a tactical or strategic procurement role, supporting manufacturing or project management + Strong organizational and operational process skills + Experience driving results in negotiating with suppliers + Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments + Proficient with MS Office, focus on Excel, and agility to learn new software It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Preferred - APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification + Experience in manufacturing planning for instrument/accessory products Join our winning team today.
