  Accuform, a Justrite Safety Group company located in Brooksville FL, which creates facility identification solutions for a variety of customers worldwide is seeking a Materials Clerk in our Brooksville, FL location.   Job Title:  Materials Clerk                                                                                                                             Classification:  Non-Exempt Reports to: Materials Team Lead              Job Summary:  To provide and maintain inventory of raw materials to satisfy production requirements in support of our company vision to be our customers’ favorite supplier.  Work involves the warehousing and inventory of raw materials, pulling and supplying material to production departments for work in process, and cutting down printed sheets of material according to job specifications.                                                                                                            Essential Functions:                                                                                                                                                     Warehouse and inventory raw materials received Pull and transport raw materials to production departments for work orders in process Cut down printed sheets according to job specifications to satisfy customer orders Use measuring devices to ensure accurate cuts, part builds, and product assembly Operate and maintain safe operation knowledge of a variety of machinery and equipment, including shear machines, slitter, router, saws, and other cutting tools, to perform essential functions Perform quality inspection of material, checking for accuracy of print and finishing specifications Prioritize work orders throughout shift based on ship date and labor time Add and remove products or parts from inventory as required for assembly, packaging and completion of orders Communicate production changes to team lead, supervisor, or other departments as required; document change requirements on work orders and add notes in system Report to department team lead throughout shift on expedited orders and jobs that require special attention Perform inventory maintenance and communicate with Inventory Control to resolve any stock issues, confirm cycle counts, or create stock locations Assist in other production departments as requested or needed Perform other duties as required or assigned Additional Responsibilities: Report all unsafe activities to Plant Manager, Safety Director or Human Resources Be punctual and dependable; accountable for assigned work shift Comply with all safety and environmental rules, regulations and guidelines, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements Take direction from and communicate with others regardless of age, gender, race or religion Participate in cross-training within and outside of home department, as required; includes training to learn various machines/equipment, as well as providing training through sharing of knowledge and skill Perform general housekeeping duties to keep works areas clean and free of debris; also to include basic recycling of plant materials Dispose of hazardous and all other waste materials in accordance with regulatory procedures and policy Work overtime as requested Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to be on your feet, standing and/or walking, for the duration of your shift Ability to move large quantities of product or material by use of pallet jacks, carts, buckets, dollies, hand trucks or other equipment Ability to perform such actions as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, lifting, and performing repetitive motions throughout shift Handle material up to 50 pounds in weight Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around machinery or equipment with moving parts Could be exposed to dust, noise or hazardous materials Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to attain forklift certification Intermediate to strong math skills Ability to take accurate measurements using rulers, tapes, and other tools down to 1/16” Basic mechanical aptitude Good command of the English language, both written and verbal Must be able to operate all required equipment, hand, and power tools Ability to identify and distinguish between colors Basic computer skills Ability to take direction and work well with others Required Experience and Education: 1-3 years’ related experience Warehousing/materials background preferred Experience operating forklift preferred High school diploma; or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
