Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, plus mandatory overtime as required

Job Summary

Leads assigned product lines supporting all short-term (daily – weekly) planning aspects of materials control to include: scheduling, inventory control, capacity analysis, system updates, and coordination with customer service on delivery commitments to customer.

Core Responsibilities

Develops and maintains production schedules to establish sequence, lead time and capacity constraints of assigned operations to meet shipping dates according to customer orders; firms planned orders into our Enterprise Resource Planning software and releases to support production schedule.

Plans and schedules workflow for manufacturing operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

Collaborates with Production management to plan sequence of assembly, and other manufacturing operations; may develop estimates and schedules and confer with management regarding schedules of goods in process and needs for future orders.

Optimizes the manufacturing systems capabilities and customer service levels by initiating improvements based on production schedule follow and analysis of timely accurate data; monitors progress to released schedule and takes lead to work cross functionally to resolve issues.

Acts as the liaison between production, warehouse, team personnel and sales order / customer service to provide prompt and accurate information with regards to delivery schedules; maintains accurate information in Enterprise Resource Planning software.

Works with Purchasing and Raw Materials teammates to ensure components are available on time and in the correct sequence.

Maintains floor dispatch with appropriate comments to keep production team informed as to Work Order status.

Analyzes inventory reports, surplus stock lists, production specifications, and plant capacity data and confers with production management and purchasing to initiate corrective measures to restore satisfactory inventory balance.

Anticipates and expedites operations that delay and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

Analyzes information from inventory reports, surplus stock lists, and records; collects and researches data.

Prepares weekly backorder detail reports.

Performs additional duties as directed.

Education & Experience

Associate's degree or equivalent two-year college or technical school; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred

Five plus years of related experience.

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requires the ability to collaborate with other members of management on manufacturing systems development and deployment.

Analyzes information from inventory reports, surplus stock lists, and records; Collects and researches data.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written verbal, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently.

Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.

Manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation.

Strong ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Order processing systems. SAP experience preferred.
