Materials Control & Warehouse Coordinator - FS (Fixed Term)

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Materials Control & Warehouse Coordinator - FS (Fixed Term) to join the Project Team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Lead - Contracts and Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the materials control and warehouse team, ensuring that all materials are properly received, stored, and issued to support business operations.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

Lead the materials control and warehouse team, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure successful team performance. Warehouse Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility, ensuring that all materials are properly received, stored, and issued. Materials Control: Ensure that all materials are properly controlled, including receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including monitoring stock levels, identifying stock discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all materials are properly handled, stored, and transported. Safety and Security: Ensure that the warehouse facility is maintained in a safe and secure manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Team Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that the materials control and warehouse team has the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

   To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 certificate Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Procurement Management Minimum of eight (8 years) in Warehouse management and supply, preferably in the mining environment. Excellent contract management, negotiation, and administration skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in warehouse management software (SAP) Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) Be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination.
