Job Summary:

Trane Technologies in LaCrosse, WI is hiring a Materials Coordinator.  In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and closing our direct ship orders. This requires contacting and working with suppliers, accessing supplier shipping information and populating the Trane Oracle system with the respective information required. The position is also responsible for maintaining the purchasing attributes for the parts set up in Oracle, reconciling GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) discrepancies and other Materials Planning related activities and/or projects.  As part of continuous improvement effort, this position will also be supporting, creating, and maintaining Standard Work Processes.

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for following up with external suppliers on order acknowledgements, estimated ship dates and shipping cost to close Direct Ship purchase and customer orders.Analyze and process direct ship purchase orders that are put on holdEnsure suppliers are following our freight instructionsSupport problem solving with suppliers having delivery issuesCommunicate obsolete parts to MDM teamWork closely with Order Management, Material Planners, and Procurement teamsSupport the On-time Shipping and Supplier Performance Measurement programProduce and communicate purchasing documents to suppliers (Tax Exemption forms, other forms and letters required).Support distribution of purchase orders and acknowledgementSupport requests from customers and Order ManagementSupport GRNI (goods received not invoiced) related activitiesOther potential responsibilities as assignedSupport the lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 1+ year experience preferred; 3+ years of experience in lieu of a degree in a materials coordinator, materials planning & purchasing role, or similar roles which requires frequent communication with suppliers, customers or cross functional teams will be consideredStrong data analytic skillsExperience effectively communicating with suppliersExperience using Oracle, ERP System, or equivalent highly preferredMust be detail oriented, very well organized & data drivenAdvanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel) highly preferredStrong communication skillsStrong data analytic skillsWell organized with multiple priorities with tight time limitExperience with material planning, purchasing, sourcing preferred

 

Compensation:   

Base Pay Range: $50,000-$57,000/annually
