Materials Coordinator - Operating Room
Overview Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health of Long Island. The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the daily receiving, stocking, storing and monitoring of all Storeroom Stock for the operating room. Maintains an accurate and orderly inventory. Performs the required transactions to document the activities. Serve as an information source to the OR staff regarding materials and supplies. Is a liaison between the hospital's Storeroom and the Operating Room. This position does not provide direct patient care. Job Details Responsibilities: •Receives and stores operating room stock ordered through Lawson • Monitors and maintains appropriate par levels •Adequately stocks OR Storage Rooms and Supply Carts •Orders non-stock products and materials as necessary •Checks expiration dates and rotates stocks • Checks receiving invoices against purchase orders for discrepancies • Information to OR staff regarding materials and stock • Performs required transactions (paperwork/computer work) to document activities. • Assists Buyer as required Requirements: • High School Graduate or equivalent • Strong Computer skills, with basic barcode scanner skills • Prior Operating Room/Hospital experience preferred Salary Range USD $28.21 - USD $41.80 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
