**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** :
+ Conduct or lead the physical count of each product and/or location as needed, to fulfill cycle count program requirements, including inventory checks when required.
+ Generate cycle count lists of daily material counts for Warwick, RI and San Diego, CA.
+ Analyze each discrepancy at the time of counting to identify root causes of errors and develop/recommend corrective actions.
+ Double check all counts inaccurate by greater than 10% quantity/dollar value, and research and determine all activities responsible for inaccurate inventories.
+ Enter data through JD Edwards to update the inventory records in the computer.
+ Perform excess and obsolete inventory transaction in JD Edwards.
+ Lead the day-to-day cycle counting activities within the team to ensure that current counts are being completed while improvements are being made.
+ Updates daily metrics.
+ Assist in the training of staff in the methods of cycle counting and act as a change agent, driving inventory accuracy throughout the manufacturing operations.
+ Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work.
+ Complete daily activities in a timely, legible, and accurate fashion.
+ Performs other duties as needed, including handling of warehouse materials.
**QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:**
+ 3-5 years solid performance in manufacturing materials positions.
+ Forklift experience including but not limited to sit down, stock picker and walkie lifts is required.
+ Knowledge of all material flow processes.
+ Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
+ Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
+ Skill in communicating effectively through oral and written communications.
+ Ability to move about within the facility in the facilitation of work teams, problem solving, and communicating with employees and management.
+ Ability to achieve high productivity by reliable and punctual attendance.
+ Ability to identify and support continuous improvement.
+ Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving business environment.
+ Ability to function in a high volume environment, with a positive demeanor.
+ Skills in operating a computer, specifically Windows platform, Word and Excel, Lotus Notes, JD Edwards and Internet.

The Materials Cycle Counter performs material handling duties and leads the daily cycle counting process, analyzing discrepancies to determine problem causes.
