The team you will be a part of The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.This role in summary

The Materials Platform Integrator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of raw material and new technology solutions on new product introductions and existing product improvements.

The Integrator (Associate, Engineering) supports technical activities, developments, and interacts with stakeholders for technical subjects.

Your responsibilities will include

The Materials Platform Integrator:

- Is a contact for the Platform & Architecture Leaders and stakeholders (including Global Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Global Consumer Design, Advanced Manufacturing, Marketing),

- Works to deliver cost and quality targets of the respective Platform,

- Supports structured problem solving working cross-functionally, both regionally and globally,

- Works in  innovation and continuous improvement of products, potentially generating innovative intellectual property,

- Supports specific competency areas (for example, metals, resins, coatings) to ensure technical capability,

- Supports design teams to drive high alignment on the raw material strategy and selection,

- Collects regional requirements with subsystems in the initial stage of projects to ensure raw material choices or solutions represent the best balance of design, cost, and performance while also considering regional supply constraints,

- Works in the resolution of materials related quality issues, supply interruptions, or manufacturing issues leveraging global resources from the Materials Integration, Subject Matter Expert and Laboratory teams.

- Implements raw material solutions on existing and new products, making sure timeline, cost and quality are achieved.

Minimum requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related fields

- 1+ years of experience in the development and/or implementation of materials solutions in areas including cost reduction, quality improvement, implementation of new projects and/or new technologies

- Project management knowledge

- Materials science knowledge at raw material level,

- Sense of urgency, and ability to work under pressure for multiple tasks,

- Natural, strong attitude for problem-solving, critical thinking, proactive behavior, respect for commitments and deadlines,

- Actively breaking down boundaries and encouraging others to do the same. Communication skills with peers: projects / initiatives / conclusions / report outs,

- Soft skills to work in a multicultural / multiregional team.
