Job Description
The Production Materials Coordinator will collaborate with all departments to organize and transport finished products within the manufacturing space. This role also involves assisting in the final assembly and packaging as needed. This intermediate-level position requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and a good understanding of technical aspects relevant to the job. Supervision is limited on routine tasks, with general instructions provided for new or special assignments.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify component requirements for production from engineeringReview work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shippedPrepare kits/pallets for final shipmentAssemble products to completionAssist with final packagingTrack delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment as neededRead and interpret assembly blueprintsWork independently and adhere to a scheduleParticipate in shop cleanup activitiesCommunicate with Shop Leads regarding quality and production schedulesEnsure quality in all job duties, with the authority to address quality issues at any levelMulti-task in a fast-paced environmentAssist coworkers with other tasks as assignedOperate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality SystemCollaborate with Quality, Environmental, and H&S employees to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standardsBe aware of and comply with environmental and safety policies and regulationsMaintain high-quality standards in all dutiesEssential SkillsExperience with SAPAbility to understand assembly blueprints or diagramsMechanical aptitude; excellent at physical assembly of partsBasic computer skillsGood communication skillsPositive attitudeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing, blueprint reading, cycle counts, data entry, inventory management, shipping, and receivingAbility to perform a variety of assembly operations using drawings, BOMs, and Work Order TravelersProficiency with small hand tools such as needle nose pliers, de-soldering tools, tweezers, brushes, screwdrivers, clippers, and wire strippersWhy Work Here?

This position operates in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment. You will work with various technologies and equipment, and adherence to safety and quality standards is paramount.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00
