Materials Experience Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE

Manages MillerKnoll Materials Experience in Europe and APMEA across all brands. Ensures that Materials swatches and samples are current and available for Sales, Dealer, A&D, and/or Retail audiences. Partners with suppliers, marketing and showroom teams to manage the holistic Materials Experience program – working to elevate the how customers and other stakeholders experience our materials through virtual and physical expressions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops a clear strategy in partnership with our facilities team for our Materials Experience showroom representation around Europe and APMEA.

Partners with marketing to highlight critical materials updates and empowers sellers to better showcase our materials offering.

Generates a scalable approach for improved materials representation at our dealer partner locations.

Ensure accurate and responsive order fulfilment.

Maintain program data and documentation.

Manage reorder process from ordering all materials and print, monitor progress of suppliers, to confirmation of receipt of inventory at fulfilment supplier.

Manages fulfilment operation to ensure an excellent customer experience from all brand touch points.

Builds relationships and trust with suppliers throughout Europe and APMEA to continuously improve our capabilities and elevate the user experience, going beyond the status quo to create excellence in our sampling experience.

Manages inventory while being strategic in planning optimal and efficient order quantities. Works to reduce unnecessary and over stock items in fulfilment inventory.

Manages relationship with fulfilment partner, including communicating updates to manage inventory, updates for shopping cart, and point person for shopping cart or sample questions

Manages swatch budget for assigned brands or channels.

Partners with Product Development and/or Merchants to identify Material Swatch, Retail Masters and other Materials items needed to support sales across contract and/or retail in physical and digital spaces.

Review inventory regularly to develop inventory orders to avoid stockouts.

Strives to continuously improve sample production and fulfilment processes.

Works with and advises internal clients on best practices for sample development and distributions.

Works with Store Openings Team to ensure sales materials are ordered and delivered on time for openings.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in a related field; design, business, textiles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 5+ years of experience in project or inventory management

Licenses and Certifications

Project team experience.

Excellent interpersonal management and problem-solving skills.

Excellent planning, time management, organizational, and written/oral communication skills.

Highly developed understanding of products, organizational processes/resources and technical considerations.

Proven ability to effectively work with and direct people from other companies and disciplines

Highly developed interpersonal communication skills; both written and verbal.

Strong analytical, personal organizational and time management skills; self motivated and self directed.

Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
