What you'll do Viasat is seeking an experienced materials handler to support Viasat’s energy services division for warehouse, inventory, and logistics functions. Your responsibilities will be diverse, and you will be empowered to use your initiative and skills in a variety of functions. In this role, you will coordinate with warehouse and inventory supervisor on receiving, allocation, and movement of materials within onsite and offsite locations. Maintain fixed asset registers for materials assigned to domestic warehouse locations. Work with logistics coordinator on domestic transportation moves in an efficient and compliant manner. You will stay in sync with logistics processes and transportation cost models. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external customers where needed with end-to-end logistics processes that enable the fulfillment of orders. This individual should have the ability to collect and analyze data to help improve the organization's supply chain activities, monitor inventory stock levels, and support the supply chain team. The day-to-day As the Material Handler, your main responsibility is to fill customer orders and deliver them to internal locations. You must ensure that all tasks are performed safely, securely, efficiently, and accurately according to company standards. This position will schedule domestic customer deliveries with identified freight forwarders. Must coordinate with Leads and Supervisors in the various departments to provide an outstanding Customer Service experience to them. You will operate a forklift in performance of order filling duties. You will inspect and report the maintenance required for equipment. Additional duties will be assigned by the group lead including order picking, asset tracking, inventory management, material put-away, receiving, and projects as required. What you'll need 2 – 5 years of inventory and stockroom experience 1+ year experience with arranging logistical movements Physical aptitude to lift at least 23kg and push or pull cargo of at least 34kg Experience with cargo inbound and outbound processes, including nota fiscais checking and notas fiscais issuance requests Experienced with forklift operation and safety requirements Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Experience with freight quotes and analysis Proficiency in MS Office Suite What will help you on the job Background in the oil & gas industry SAP B1 or a comparable ERP inventory management tool Knowledge of reporting and analytical tools Advanced excel skills a plus Ability to communicate in Portuguese and in English (basic) EEO Statement Viasat is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
