Summary About the position: This is a Regular Part-Time category position located at the Resource Management Supply Warehouse, 423d Force Support Squadron, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. This position offers 32 guaranteed hours per week, but the incumbent may be required to work up to 40 hours per week, as needed. The incumbent must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities 1. Receives incoming shipments from off-loading areas and checks receiving vouchers to ensure quality and quantity of items received. Assembles items into groups based on information shown on receiving vouchers, segregates materials as necessary and routes along appropriate processing lines. Holds materials for inspection according to established procedures, and routes items not requiring inspection to proper storage. Reports overages, shortages, or damaged conditions to supervisor. 2. Selects storage locations and stores, stacks, and palletizes items considering their use, size, shape, quantity, and possibility of contamination to or from other items. 3. Selects items for shipment or issue. Checks condition of shipping containers and ensures that items are properly loaded or packed. Obtains authorized signature on issue documents and keeps necessary copy of requisition to account for issues. 4. Assists in end-of-month inventories of stock by counting items in storage areas. Ensures that supplies and equipment are safeguarded and secure at all times. Prepares shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems. Secures all storerooms as required. Adheres to fire and safety regulations. 5. May be required to operate a motor vehicle to transport equipment and supplies to and from the warehouse. May be required to operate a forklift after completing provided training. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience (MUST be supported in your resume): Must have experience performing the following duties: Compiling data in Excel spreadsheets to maintain inventory stock levels; AND applying critical thinking skills to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks; AND organizing daily paperwork on a computer-based filing system. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit. Probationary period may be required.
