Moderate physical effort is used in operating hand and foot controls while driving, turning, starting and stopping the forklift truck and raising, lowering and tilting the loads being moved. Working Conditions: Warehousing work is done inside and outside. Work inside may be in areas that are hot, cold, damp, drafty or poorly lighted. Incumbent may work in bad weather in such outside areas as open docks and storage yards. The work may be dirty, dusty and greasy. Incumbent is frequently exposed to cuts, scrapes, bruises, and broken bones which may result from shifting loads, toppling stacks, forklift trucks overturning, falling objects and falls from ladders.
