We're searching for a Materials Management Advisor – Buyer to join our Suncor warehouse team at Base Plant. Apply today to be considered for this exciting opportunity!As a Materials Management Advisor - Buyer, you will support the warehouse and maintenance functions and activities with the management and issuing of repair and return purchase orders, as well as material return purchase orders. You will also work with external suppliers/contractors to coordinate repairs and returns.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years experience in logistics management with increasing responsibilities in various operational rolesPrevious material purchasing experience is an assetPost secondary business or Supply Chain background preferredMaintenance experience is an assetFluent in SAP, Word, and ExcelKey Accountabilities:
Work with Maintenance/Reliability/Inventory to come to a scrap vs. repair decision on refurbishable itemsWork with Warehouse Advisors to create purchase orders from their purchase requisitions for inventory itemsWork with Maintenance personnel to create purchase orders from their purchaserequisitions for business unit owned itemsWork with Maintenance and SCM to create return purchase orders for unused material that can be returned to the supplierWork with External Suppliers to ensure all information on the purchase order is correct throughout the lifecycle of the purchase orderAdjust purchase orders as required when updated prices and dates are provided by the supplier/repair companyAssist as required to create and distribute stewardship/reports to SCM and BU leaders to show core aging, PO aging, progress, risks, etc
