Materials Management Associate - Distribution Mid-Shift

We are hiring a Materials Management Associate for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for working as a member on our Core Publishing Solutions team performing tasks relating to warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory control and returns while utilizing ERP and other systems to ensure accuracy of inventory and delivery of a quality product to the customer. For this role, you would also be eligible for $2,500 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days.
Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota
Monday - Friday from 10am - 6pm

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for:   Safely operating powered material handling equipment in the course of completing work tasks.Tasks may include one or more of the following:Utilizing ERP (e.g., SAP, MII) and/or radio frequency (RF) equipment to obtain information or entering transactions regarding material/product movement activities.Picking, sorting or packing picked items in appropriate packaging; ensuring that the product arrives to the customer in quality condition.Monitoring, stocking and transporting materials or finished goods to designated area or assigned storage location.Inventory materials and finished goods and maintaining records, rejecting unsatisfactory items as needed.Researching and processing returns, accurately recording information in ERP and determining whether product should return to stock based on quality.Providing data to internal departments as requested.Accurately documents activities on Tier Boards.May operate 2-way radio for communication.Performing daily maintenance and changing batteries if needed.Actively participating in company safety program to ensure compliance and contribute to safety culture.Meeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures.Implementing, performing and sustaining housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment.Recommending process improvements; implementing process improvements.Participating in project teams as needed.Other duties as apparent or assigned.


About You:

Education: (minimum requirements)
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Experience:

1-2 years experienceSome experience working in a shipping, receiving and/or warehouse environmentPreference for experience with enterprise resource systems (e.g., SAP)Preference for previous lift truck experience


Knowledge and Skills:

Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and production ordersAble to be certified and operate power material handling equipmentBasic math skillsBasic computer skillsAble to work overtime and flex schedule as required to meet customer demandAble to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of timeAble to send and receive oral communications via 2-way radiosDemonstrated ability to work well independently or in a team environment
