Job Summary:
Coordinates clinical supply chain for clinical integration of JV ASCs, collaborating with JV operations team, vendors and ASCs leadership. Responsible for standardizations of contract compliance, materials management utilization, and reporting. Implements initiatives that deliver high quality outcomes with the best value and serves as a resource for local Materials Managers.
Position Responsibilities:
Functions as a Materials Manager resource for all ASC’s within the joint venture group.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with JV operations teams, ASC leadership and vendors.
Identify, develop, and support opportunities for clinical integration, utilization management and cost saving measures.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Compiles weekly and monthly statistical data. Monitor and forecast needs based on anticipated volumes.
Initiate communication and problem solving with regard to customer concerns. Manage and resolve product supply issues.
Negotiate with suppliers concerning forecasting, availability, pricing, freight and terms and conditions of sale.
Determine quantity, timing of deliveries and most suitable distribution.
Creates and maintains a supply catalog for the Joint Venture GPO.
Creates and maintains a capital equipment catalog for the ASC’s.
Establishes a preferred Vendor contact list as a resource to each center.
Obtains supply catalog information from all centers and establishes a master list.
Assists centers with orientation of new Material Managers. Travel to centers as necessary.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
3-5 years of materials management experience in a healthcare setting. Must have extensive experience of clinical operations. Knowledge of computer systems, purchasing, contracting and logistics management.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in a clinical field .
