Shift : Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Additional shifts may be required during inventory and DNV.

The role you’ll contribute:
Works closely with department management, leadership, physicians and/or surgeons, and Materials Management Shared Services leadership to meet established goals and exceed expectations. Supervises daily operations of all inventory management services and teams which may include both in/out-patient operating rooms, Central and/or General Supply areas, campus supply carts (via periodic asset replenishment methodologies), and other clinical perioperative specialty/procedural areas to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Ensures all members of the team(s) are keeping stocking levels sufficiently maintained while achieving economical results. Supervises all staff members’ and leads’ daily performance and holds them accountable for completing and excelling in their daily assignments. Provides technical support for the inventory system through the Materials Management programs and SurgiNet. Utilizes hospital performance improvement processes (such as assess, plan, implement, evaluate, etc.) to address challenges and meet the goals assigned. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

· Develop department team’s schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all areas (up to 24 hours / 7 days a week), services and maintains labor within designated staffing levels. Coordinates and supervises the activities of assigned inventory leads and inventory control personnel, receiving, and delivery clerks or functions.
· Provide full Supply Chain support for all Surgical, Diagnostic, and other Procedural Areas, to include general supplies (consignment, stock, and non-stock inventory), core areas, and if required, the surgical suites. Support procedural/surgical case picking, periodic inventory management, maintenance of surgeon’s preference cards, and SurgiNet item locators and other attributes.
· Manage Central Supply’s inventory, staff, code-cart trays, incoming/outgoing calls, item requests, billing & IDTs and delivery functions as required
· Ensures that daily par cart and package scanning compliance is met. Ensures that supplies are stocked at appropriate levels. Ensures that supplies are stored in environments that are DNV-compliant. Verifies policy and procedure compliance routinely using various auditing tools. Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed by all personnel.
· Completes employee performance evaluations and ensures all educational requirements for the team are fulfilled within the designated timeframes.
· Manages periodic and annual inventory process, and reports data as appropriate. Tracks, assesses, and interprets data relative to department and service area(s) performance measures.
· Cross-trains in all areas assigned and facilitates cross-training of the team.
· Meets with leadership, management, surgeons, physicians, and/or other representatives of assigned service areas to set goals and expectations that align with department initiatives. Ensures the right items are managed and the appropriate stocking levels are maintained with high service levels while achieving economical results.
· Ensures equipment utilized by the teams is available and in good working condition.
· Assists department or Facility leadership in meeting budgetary goals and key quality initiatives. Supports quality initiatives for customer focus through Support Services team development programs. Meets with Shared Services Materials Management and department leadership as required.
· Provides technical support for the inventory system through the Materials Management system and SurgiNet.
· Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department(s). This may include additional responsibilities to cover for other supervisors and/or department management/leadership as needed.
· Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance with DNV and other regulatory requirements for supply management are met
· Adheres to applicable practice standards specific to area of responsibility, including monitoring supply storage and disposal to ensure compliance
· Promotes a safe environment. Takes appropriate action in emergency situations, is aware of and controls hazards that may endanger patients, visitors and employees, and identifies and reports environmental concerns to the management team per protocol
· Ensures adherence to appropriate regulatory standards and Florida Hospital policies and procedures
· Executes and monitors operating budgets, tracking tools, and schedules for cost center(s) assigned to ensure the allocation of appropriate staffing, professional development, space, supplies, equipment, etc., for maintaining and improving quality of service and performance standards as applicable within scope of responsibility
· Responsible for supporting, defending and making measurable efforts to exceed budgetary expectations for all applicable cost centers assigned
· Responsible for financial reports and cost analysis for areas of responsibility. Prepares appropriate financial materials and supporting documentation required internally or externally to assist with supply chain decision-making. Creates ad hoc reports providing operating cost details
· Maintains high-standards and quality in the facilitation of cost savings and containment
· Meets with campus Leadership and department Leads to review monthly budget cost analysis and supply requests
· Ensures that all department(s) within scope of responsibility operate within allocated budget
· Oversees capital purchases, rentals and equipment purchases/rentals as needed. May negotiate with vendors for best pricing and ensures the proper approval process is completed. Provides tracking documentation for these purchases, rentals, repairs and loaners per guidelines
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :
· Ability to communicate effectively and have crucial conversations with team members, and supervise staff in a timely, effective and respectful manner, to achieve department and Company objectives
· Ability to work with people of various backgrounds, in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work under stress and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
· Knowledge of inventory control concepts, order sheets, point-of-use applications, and par optimization methodologies
· Computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Knowledge of perioperative rules and guidelines pertaining to clean supply storage rules, including clean environments such as Surgical Services
· Ability to demonstrate related acumen

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
· Associate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field OR Three years of Materials Management or Supply Chain experience
· One year of previous management experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :
· SurgiNet/Cerner experience
· Experienced in Lean Process Improvement methodologies and application to supply chain management
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field
