Our client, a leader in the transportation industry, is seeking a Materials Management Planner to join their team. As a Materials Management Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Materials Management Planner
**Location:** Santa Ana, CA
**Pay Range:** $43.34 - $51.66
**What's the Job?**
+ Oversee the replenishment of consumable items, shop supplies, safety supplies, floor stock, and chemical products to ensure uninterrupted operations.
+ Work closely with Maintenance Resource Management to establish and maintain Bills of Materials for standard jobs.
+ Monitor back-ordered items and expedite bus-down and priority shortages while preparing management and planning reports.
+ Manage supplier contracts and develop data-driven algorithms to project and plan for consumables and safety supplies.
+ Develop continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
**What's Needed?**
+ Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or related field and a minimum of five years of materials management and supply chain experience.
+ Experience with inventory management systems, such as Ellipse or similar platforms.
+ Familiarity with automotive and bus parts categories, as well as maintenance requirements.
+ Understanding of procurement regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
+ Proficiency in Excel and Word to review performance metrics, track fill rates, analyze stock turnover, and assess inventory trends.
