JOB OVERVIEW
The Materials Manager leads, plans, directs, and monitors the operations of the material management function. You will be responsible for all or most of the following: operational purchasing, ordering, order confirmation, time and price differences, delivery control, materials planning, forecasting and other operative supplier collaboration activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for its current and future operations. Needs to collaborate with procurement, supplier quality management, Product Change Management, Customer Service, production planning and KTI.
JOB DUTIES:
Hiring and development of all Material Specialists
Leading Material Handlers with weekly 1-1 meetings
Elevator Component Unit (ECU) (4 employees); offshore work through KBS team (1 head counts); Support ALI factory transformation
Overview of Production Planning process at ALI
Support Production Planning and Control and collaborate with production supervisors at ALI
Collaboration and communication on escalations including supplier delays, cross function matrix organization, and front line. Problem Solving to avoid any LDs. • Collaborate with Spares and Warranties to analyze and forecast materials to Suppliers for ESU internal Factories and Supply Base.
Recommending after analysis of expedites as necessary from overseas supply base
Support and management of Inventory for Allen Factory, Supply Unit material and PIC at the Distribution Center as well as supporting the customer service role for Allen Factory.
Plan for every part (PFEP). Develop, implement, and oversee the inventory control system (ERP) tracking the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, production requirements, ordering procedures and process.
ABC Inventory Analysis reports on quarterly basis and Monthly KPI report outs;
Adheres to ISO Audits per standards.
Interpret inventory requests, production schedules, orders, and other documents to coordinate materials ordering and activities with organizations current and anticipated demand for goods and materials
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
University degree, preferably in business or logistics studies; Prior working experience of min 5 years in a relevant field; Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, and material management.
Wide IT knowledge; Supply chain management knowledge; Contract Management knowledge; Fluent in English
University degree, preferably in business or logistics studies. 7+ years required is preferred. Years of experience Should encompass previous Material Management and Leadership Experience.
Supplier Web, Lens, EDI, Qliksense; development of employees; conducting one-on-one meetings with the team;
Support and collaboration with multiple interlining departments (Operations, Procurement, Front Line, Spares, Warranties, ECU, Supply Chain), business transformation management,
Support and management of inventory, Plan for every part (PFEP), cycle counting process, inventory accuracy, and automated process flow. Develop, implement, and oversee an inventory control system (ERP). Interpret inventory requests, schedules, and coordination.
ABC Inventory analysis on quarterly basis and KPI reporting. ISO audit standards. Optimize resources and achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
Being strategically focused on goals and execution and having a proactive approach.
The hiring range for this role is $121,000.00 – 167,000.00. The compensation package offered will depend on the candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
