Job Description:


The Materials Manager coordinates all procurement activities including the leading & management of the purchasing department personnel, manages various commodities, including electronic assemblies, plastics, sheet metal, and cabling. Maintains contracts, and analyze vendor bid information. Develops programs to reduce cost, reduce backlogs, minimize obsolete inventory, and improve inventory turns. Works with suppliers on Kanban programs as well as any consignment opportunities. Maintains inventory level to meet business needs. Work closely with Production insuring an un-interrupted supply of materials as required. Interfaces with corporate procurement teams to provide data and participate in inflation tracking and cost containment programs.

As A Materials Manager, You Will:


•    Manage all Supply Chain and Logistics activities across Kennesaw Electronics and Cargo Solutions
•    Manage all procurement functions and associated personnel
•    Analyze vendor bids
•    Work directly with Sourcing to develop world class supply chain strategy
•    Schedule materials to meet production planning requirements
•    Interface with Production and Engineering on a regular basis, and corporate procurement on various programs
•    Increase inventory turns, minimize backlogs, reduce cost, and achieve shipping KPI’s to attain goals
•    Attend and present information at monthly meetings to senior leadership, and bi-annual commodity review

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

4-year business related degree with 6 years purchasing experienceExperiences with ERP system, such as OracleAbility to travel 5% at a time

Flexible Work Schedule – Hybrid Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a hybrid work from home option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
