Job SummaryAnord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Materials Manager located in Kendal or Blackburn.
Reporting to the Global Head of Supply Chain, the Materials Manager will be responsible for managing, controlling and directing the activities and staff involved in the distribution of inventory to the production line.
What a typical day looks like:
Ensures strategy is in place and implemented to facilitate optimal delivery of supplier material
Manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve materials profit and loss objectives including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory
Coordinate with procurement, project managers, operations managers, and warehouse managers
Where supply issues are identified, work with supply chain, operations, technical and engineering to find a solution
Analyse data to review minimum inventory holding for key components and to drive decision making and process improvements
Ensure that processes and procedures are adhered to in line with requirements
Create daily goods plans, monitoring performance, stock, and downtime of the factory to maintain suitable planning based on history, trends, and demand
Responsible for accurate inventory cycle counts, and controls
Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems
Responsible for disposition of excess and obsolete materials. Support excellence in Excess and Obsolete initiatives and projects
Travel as required
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Typically requires a minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience
Educated to degree level in Business / procurement related subject or equivalent experience
Strong inventory management experience
Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel and ERP software
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving aptitude
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Willingness to travel when required
