Materials Manager
The Materials Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials to support company operations. This position exists to oversee and optimize the purchase, control, and movement of materials, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. The Material Manager is responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems to ensure materials are available to meet production and company requirements. Additionally, this role involves leading and developing personnel within the material control, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and stores functions to achieve operational excellence.

Your Challenge:
Material Control & Inventory Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to ensure efficient operations. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet company requirements while minimizing excess stock. Coordinate with purchasing, production, and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate material movement.Planning & Coordination:
Develop material schedules and plans to align with production needs and company goals. Review and plan material requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to prepare material requirement plans and forecasts.Vendor & Customer Collaboration:
Work with internal and external vendors to ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures. Assist in auditing customer inventory levels and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.Team Leadership & Development:
Select, train, and evaluate personnel within the material control, shipping/receiving, and stores functions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the team.System & Process Improvement:
Assist in establishing and maintaining production control systems to enhance operational effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline material management.What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of cross-functional experience in material management, inventory control, or supply chain operations. At least 5 years of experience in procurement and people management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex material control systems.Proficient in using ERP systems and other inventory management tools.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers.Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.Who We Are
