**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Select, motivate, train, and ensure the development of a competent departmental staff.
+ Monitor departmental personnel and ensure they conform to company policies and procedures and demonstrate only the highest levels of ethical standards.
+ Implement and maintain systems that will determine and drive desired inventory levels based on vendor lead times and customer delivery expectations.
+ Ensure the Material Coordinators prepare timely and accurate information concerning shipments and other customer service activities that meet the customers' requirements. This information should be communicated to the customer on a regular basis.
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with representatives of the material suppliers.
+ Develop good working relationships with all other support and service departments within the company.
+ Ensure that a safe and cost efficient environment is maintained by those under their supervision.
+ Direct the timely and accurate preparation of various reports required by senior management.
+ Manage the most economical inbound and outbound transportation routes. Look for opportunities to combine shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution.
+ Establish optimum methods for handling, proximity, and visual management.
+ Determine and maintain appropriate equipment to load, unload, move, and store materials. Determine, recommend, and maintain inventory storage containers.
+ Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, Assets or to the public
**Requirements**
+ Associates Degree or Equivalent additional experience
+ 5-10 Years of Materials in Manufacturing, Distribution, or related industry with proven Management/Supervisor responsibilities
+ Proficient with Microsoft Applications - Including Excel
+ Experienced with ERP Systems - QAD or SAP preferred
+ Strong Communications skills managing both Customer & Supplier engagements
