The Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries. We design and manufacture high-performance electron microscopes that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales. Combining hardware and software expertise in electron, ion, and light microscopy with deep application knowledge in the materials science, life sciences, electronics, and natural resources markets, the worldwide team of 5,000 people are dedicated to customers' pursuit of discovery and resolution to global challenges.

The Position

At our site in Eindhoven we develop and produce innovative Transmission Microscopes. It takes around a year to build and test these high end systems before we can deliver to our customers. The Planning department, consisting of 13 employees, is divided into Systems & Module Planning (manufacturing) and New product Introduction (NPI) Planning. In this role as Production Planner you will be part of the Systems & Module Planning team. The System and Module planning team operates to a Sales and Operation Plan (S&OP plan). This team is in charge of the supply chain planning and all dynamics and challenges that are connected to this. The challenge is to manage lowest costs with the highest efficiency and highest service level. It’s an exciting and dynamic supply chain environment.

As a Production Planner, you are in charge of executing dynamic short to mid-term plans for systems, sub-assemblies, and spare parts, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with your stakeholders in logistics, production, in 2 other production sites (in US and CZ) and the service organization to align on their needs. You will be a spider in the web between our manufacturing facility and our internal customers and you’ll need to work structured and thorough to get our supply chain arranged. You will report to the Manager Logistics Planning.

The key responsibilities are:

Translating the master production plan into detailed production and purchasing requirements

Start production of key assemblies/modules and ensure material availability in the factory

Initiate repairs and production of components

Safeguard the on time production of work orders and maintain MRP accordingly

Identify and address risks in the production plan and take necessary actions

Provide support by stepping in for your colleagues as needed, ensuring continuity within the team during their holidays

The Requirements

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems

Proficient with MS Office Excel

Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities

Proficient in English and Dutch

Able to drive improvement projects under supervision

Ability to handle a dynamic workload: from heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads to focused thorough work

Preferably, experience in a (high tech) production environment
