Job Description:
As a member of the R&D Testing and Biological Interfaces Department, the intern will support the Materials Research Team ensuring that Nobel Biocare’s product portfolio is compliant with the MDR (EU) 2017/745 requirements and other regulations. The intern will contribute within the Materials Research department in ensuring the safety and efficacy of Nobel Biocare's products and solutions according to the company’s Design Control process. Further, he/she will support the team in performing surface analysis and will collaborate closely with different departments.

Accountabilities
Support of other Materials Research team members during projects in:writing work instructions and test protocols for quality control purposes,contributing in the development of quality test methods for production,hands-on surface testing using different methods (SEM/EDX /WLI/Contact angle),writing test protocols for external test laboratories,writing test reports based on surface testing and results analyzing,Assisting team members with handling different material research related tasks / projects.Supporting compliance activities related to Materials ResearchSupport managing external partners and suppliers in relation to assigned activitiesAnalyzing surface measurement results including statistical analysisCommunicating with different department stakeholdersExperience
Technical/scientific background (BSc, MSc or equivalent) in relevant field in Life Science or Medtech: material science, biomedical engineering, human and movement science, mechanical engineering or equivalentComprehensive knowledge in relevant tools (MS Office)Experience with hands-on testing of material surface is an advantageExperience in SEM/EDX testing is an advantage.A systematic and result-oriented work style.Shows awareness of goals and standards.
