The Material Science Co-Op will range from 3-8 months based on students’ availability, area of expertise and interests.  (Please indicate the period of time you are interested in co-oping or interning). Looking for students who are actively pursuing a BS in one of the following or similar disciplines (2nd year or higher preferred): Materials Science and Engineering, metallurgy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, Sustainable Systems Management or Statistics.

Highlights of your role Conduct research and testing on materials use and applicationsComplete projects related to materials development and utilization, building science, reliability, and sustainabilityLaboratory testing of materials using advanced analysis and exposure instrumentationAnalysis, reporting and presenting research resultsEquipment calibration procedure development and documentation Salary Range $21.50 - $24.50 per hour You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Experience in safe laboratory practicesKnowledge of scientific test planning and statistical data analysisAbility to work independently and in a team environmentSound written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin
