Preferred Qualifications:

2 - 5 years of related experience in a similar role or manufacturing environment High school diploma or equivalent Technical or vocational training related to tools or machinery is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Knowledge on Syteline or equivalent ERP System and Oracle Familiarity with 5S principles and safety procedures

Physical Demands:

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking Materials Specialist II in our Fullerton location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Position Overview:

The Materials Specialist is responsible for the effective management and organization of job layout boxes and tooling. This role includes preparing tooling kits in accordance with dispatch list priority, documenting critical last job run information, and maintaining precise layout box and tooling locations. The attendant will also support workspace organization using 5S principles, embodying the principle of "A place for everything and everything in its place." 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize, issue, and track layout boxes and tooling, ensuring alignment with dispatch list priorities. Maintain accurate records of layout box and tooling locations, ensuring all items have a designated place. Collaborate with leads and supervisors to prepare tooling kits for upcoming jobs, adhering to dispatch list priorities. Forecast tooling requirements and place orders proactively to ensure tooling readiness. Support the implementation of 5S practices: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. Ensure a well-organized workspace with a focus on "A place for everything and everything in its place." Document critical information from the last job run and update both physical and electronic records. Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office applications for effective tracking, data management, and reporting. Follow safety protocols and departmental procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
