Materials Supervisor

As a Material Supervisor, you will oversee materials professionals within a workcell or site, including analysts, buyers, planners, and supervisors. You will ensure materials management aligns with organizational goals and drive efficiency in purchasing, inventory control, and planning.

What will you do?Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Materials Analysis teams for a site.Oversight and Supervision: Supervise data management processes and oversee analysts in purchasing, inventory control, planning, and configuration management.Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional assignments and projects to support organizational objectives.Strategic Support: Work with site management to develop and implement materials strategies aligned with company goals.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous productivity improvements and cost reduction initiatives.Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.How will you get here?

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Logistics Management, Business Administration, or equivalent; MBA preferred but not required.3–5 years of relevant materials experience or 6–8 years of supervisory experience.Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Jabil’s software packages.APICS/NAPM certification preferred but not required.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry best practices.Proficiency in logistics strategy development to achieve business goals and objectives.Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in business analytics to optimize operations.Knowledge of international direct/indirect taxes and global customs regimes.Demonstrated success in change management, implementing productivity improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email systems.
