Job Summary
The Materiel Release Coordinator serves as a Logistics Management Specialist, and ensures critical actions are integrated and properly executed to provide a cohesive approach to logistics support requirements and equipment fielding. Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages areas of the logistics program encompassing operations, activities, and logistical support related to materiel release and modification work order coordination between the Program Executive Office (PEO) Project Management Office (PMO)/Product Management Office (PdMO) and other stakeholders. Coordinates materiel release and type classification packages with functional authorities to obtain approval prior to equipment fielding and develops and tracks modification work order fielding plans.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Knowledge and experience in DoD Acquisitions and specifications to ensure product planning, development, acquisition, fielding plans, schedules, and strategies Knowledge and experience with AR 770-3 and DA PAM 770-3 to obtain a Materiel Release (MR) and weapon system Type Classification (TC). The candidate will have experience with the processes and staffing of MR and TC packages through the proper Functional Authorities (FA). Have knowledge of the different Materiel releases for both hardware and software. Experience with inputting MR data in the Materiel Release Tracking System (MRTS). Tracks/monitors MRTS get well planning dates and conditions. Informs the Product Support Manager (PSM) of required get well extension requests. Conducts TC/MR Integrated Product Teams (IPT), prepares briefing materials, tracks meeting minutes, and maintains action item trackers Knowledge and experience with AR 750-10 Army Modification Program, DA From 7591 Modification Work Order (MWO) fielding plan, DA Form 7592 modification work order exhibit of concurrence. Understands Class I and II engineering change proposals and the relationship to the MWO process. Experience with inputting/tracking MWOs in the Modification Management Information System (MMIS), tracks unit compliance for MWO application. Coordinates MWO packages with the Life-Cycle Management Command MWO coordinator. Schedules MWO validation (VAL) and verification (VER) events with stakeholders, and Original Equipment Manufacturers or Government Agencies. Schedules equipment users for VER activities through the appropriate Capability Manager and or Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM). Identifies contractual language and CDRLs for MWO requirements for inclusion in the Statement of Work and or Performance Work Statements.Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree with ten years’ experience; (at least 18 years of relevant acquisition logistics experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret-level security clearanceMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. issued passportTravel is expected up to 25%Experience developing, reviewing, staffing, modifying materiel release packages and tracking conditions related to conditional materiel releaseExperience with inputting Materiel Release data in the Materiel Release Tracking SystemExperience developing, reviewing, staffing, modifying, and tracking Modification Work Order fielding plans and entering data into Modification Management Information SystemParticipation in technical Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings or coordinating with technical staffProficient with MS Office suite or tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred Qualifications:
