Short Description
The position responsibilities include but are not limited to outpatient consultative ultrasound offices (7 sites), inpatient service coverage of our 9-bedded antepartum unit, coverage of high-risk OB clinic (1/2 day each week), and resident/student education. There are also multiple opportunities for involvement with our 10-year-old Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (112 students/year). Cooper University Hospital is a regional perinatal center that is the major referral center for Southern New Jersey. Cooper University Hospital receives approximately 150 maternal transports per year and performs 2000 deliveries each year. In addition, we have a 25 bed Level III NICU and 6 full-time Neonatologists. Cooper University Hospital is the clinical partner of Cooper Medical School at Rowan University (CMSRU). CMSRU is focused on developing highly skilled and socially conscious physician leaders who value a patient-centered, team approach to health care. This venture provides faculty with numerous opportunities for engaging in teaching and scholarly activities.
