Posting Number NONAC3382 Job Title Maternal Health Program Coordinator Position Title Maternal Health Program Coordinator Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Center for Maternal Health Equity Position Summary The Center for Maternal Health Equity aims to pursue equity in maternal health by reducing maternal morbidity and mortality by building and strengthening community engagement and advocacy. The Program Coordinator for Community Engagement will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement to facilitate and implement key priorities to reduce maternal health inequities across Georgia and nationally. The position will assist in facilitating seamless communication and coordination among team members, ensuring all efforts align with the Center’s mission and strategic goals. The Program Coordinator will assist in the development and execution of communication plans to keep the community informed about the organization’s activities and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maternal health research or related field. Strong understanding of research methodologies, study design, and statistical analysis. Experience with project management tools and techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in scientific writing and presentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior experience working with diverse populations and communities. Knowledge of ethical considerations and regulatory requirements in human subjects research.
Preferred Qualifications Experience: Prior work experience with international maternal health projects and initiatives. Prior work experience with qualitative research methods and analysis.

Create content for newsletters, social media, press releases, and other communication channels. Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educating employees on community responsibility. Assist in maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities. Establish and maintain a comprehensive volunteer database, tracking participation and measuring impact to optimize volunteer contributions Prepare and present oral and written reports on development and outreach activities, to track and assess progress and address program deficiencies as they occur. Oversee Center community engagement grants by soliciting applications, organizing review processes, ensuring proper fund utilization, communicating with stakeholders, and compiling and summarizing reports and data. Identify and pursue grant opportunities from foundations and external funding agencies to support the Center’s community engagement initiatives. Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Advancement to secure and manage funding.
